I'm a materials science student at the University of Oxford. What draws me to materials is how much of the visible world is decided at the invisible scale — why one steel bends and another shatters comes down to structure you can only see under a microscope.
The same metals I study are also bought, shipped, and traded around the world, and that commercial side fascinates me just as much: where commodities come from, how they're priced, and how they move from mine to market. This site documents my journey of learning both.
